This Evoke for Everyone course is an opportunity for the people of Grassroots Church to simply listen and learn more about Canada’s First Nations people: their history, culture, spiritual identity, challenges, and triumphs through some guest speakers, films, and discussion. The main goal of this course is to foster within Grassroots Church a better understanding of and a deeper appreciation for the First Nations people in our city and region.
Come on out for some Cross Country skiing at Kamview Nordic Centre, this Sunday, January 30th, for the first of our Winter Blues Fest events. There will be a friendly grassrooter to greet you at one of the chalet tables from 1pm until 6pm, when the Chalet closes. The trails will be open until 10pm for those who would like to stay late, but there will be no official Grassroots representative after 6pm.
If you are new to skiing, no worries! There will be plenty of opportunity to fine tune your skills with some knowledgeable grassrooots skiing veterans.
To pay for this event, simply let the Kamview staff know that you are with the Grassroots Church group and you will receive the discounted rate of $7 per person for the trail fee and $10 for rental equipment if needed. If you plan on attending this event and have not yet signed up, please contact Derek Bravinder and let him know that you will be coming. (252-7628 or derek@grassrootschurch.com)
Our Christmas Eve and Sunday Boxing Day services are quickly approaching! These services will be a great time to worshipfully remember and celebrate the coming of Jesus and the meaning of it all.
Our Christmas Eve celebration will begin at 6:30pm and end at 7:30pm. It will be a family service, with childcare provided for children 0-36 months.
The following Sunday is Boxing Day and will also be a family service, from 11am-Noon. Childcare will once again be provided for children 0-36 months.
These services will have no break in the middle, so the nursery will be open 15 minutes before we begin for parents to drop off their children.
If you have any questions, please contact Derek Bravinder (derek@grassrootschurch.com) for further details. Hope to see you there!
